30 young activists and representatives of our partner organisations came together in Tbilisi, Georgia in November 2022 to learn from each other, get new inspiration, and to shape the future of the Activist Lab.

Impact report: a bigger network and new friends thanks to the Samen Hier student community

In 2021 we set up the Samen Hier student community in collaboration with UNICEF Student Team The Hague (USTTH). This was initially done to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation under (international) students and students with a refugee background during and after the COVID-19 lockdowns. During the second edition, in 2022, the focus of the community shifted to finding connection when you’re new somewhere.

Justice & Peace at light art festival The Hague Highlights

This light art festival 'The Hague Highlights' told stories of the rich history of the Hague, using light and projection on well-known locations in The Hague. Justice & Peace and our initiative Samen Hier participated with the artwork installation 'Voyage-Safe Haven'.

Victor Scheffers, former director of Justice & Peace passed away

We are saddened to learn of the death of Victor Scheffers. From 1983 to 2014, as director of Justice & Peace and secretary of the Justitia et Pax Commission, he worked tirelessly and with a passion for human rights and social justice.

Inspired by Martin Luther King, we investigate the necessity of civil disobedience and the many inspiring shapes it may take, then and now.
