Until he was murdered in 1968, King was the leader of the civil rights movement in the United States. This movement ensured the acquirement of voting rights for African-Americans. King’s most famous words are “I have a dream” but he also said “We cannot walk alone”. With his peaceful protest, he even received the Nobel Peace Prize.
