Strengthening the Samen Hier student community in The Hague

Since 2018, the Samen Hier initiative has been making significant strides in fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for newcomers in the Netherlands.

Focusing on young newcomers, Justice & Peace initiated Samen Hier Student Communities, a model built for and by local students and students with a refugee background.

This is facilitated through a series of engaging events which create opportunities for social interactions and cultural exchanges, thereby strengthening the local student communities in meaningful ways.

Game ‘N Connect event

The first edition of Samen Hier Student Community’s event series, Game ‘N Connect, was a resounding success. The event brought together a diverse group of participants for an evening of fun and friendly competition. Through various game rounds, attendees were able to break the ice, get to know each other better, and enjoy the thrill of winning.
