That is why we have been working with young people on civic initiatives and community projects for a long time. We support young changemakers to bring change to their communities through educational activities, inspiring learning opportunities, and engaging collaborations. In early 2024, we launched the Move 4 Human Rights initiative in collaboration with local human rights organizations and educational institutions.<\/p>\n<p>This initiative targets young people who want to advocate for positive change by developing action-oriented projects that make an impact. Move 4 Human Rights offers a hands-on approach, where young people combine theory and practice to create safe and inclusive societies for newcomers to the Netherlands.<\/p>\n<p>Move 4 Human Rights is a collaborative initiative of Justice &amp; Peace, Human Security Collective, Our Bodies Our Voice Foundation, and Human Rights in the Picture, as well as of educational institutions such as The Hague University of Applied Sciences, the University of Twente, and Erasmus University College. It offers young people aged 12-30 the opportunity to make a positive impact in their own communities. By participating, they can explore their talents, meet new people, and make meaningful contributions to society. Justice &amp; Peace is one of the implementing organizations and, within MDT, it focuses on projects around migration and human rights.<\/p>\n        <\/div>\n\n        \n      <\/div>\n\n    \n  <\/div>\n\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"o-wrapper u-padding-vertical link alignwide alignfull\" id=\"link-block_48f62b45f6867c7372fb58b9691eca12\">\n  \n      <h3 class=\"e-h1 u-margin-bottom\">Move 4 Human Rights editions<\/h3>\n  \n  \n    <div class=\"c-post-grid o-layout o-layout--stretch\">\n\n    \n      <div class=\"c-post-grid__entry o-layout__item u-1\/1 u-1\/3@tablet\">\n\n        \n  <a href=\"#\" class=\"o-block u-link u-link--block\">\n\n  <div class=\"o-block__img o-ratio o-ratio--4:3 o-media o-media--cover\">\n    <img decoding=\"async\" \n      data-      src=\"https:\/\/justiceandpeace.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/DSC_0520-1-scaled.jpg\" class=\"u-link--block__image o-ratio__content o-media__img\"\n    >\n  <\/div>\n\n  <div class=\"o-block__body\">\n    <h4 class=\"o-block__title\">Summer Edition<\/h4>\n    <p>During this two-week summer school, participants will have the opportunity to learn more about human rights in practice, the work of local non-profit organizations, and how they themselves can contribute to a more just and inclusive society. The Summer Edition is a combination of training and interactive workshops, networking opportunities, and conducting their own projects under the guidance of Justice &#038; Peace, Human Security Collective, Human Rights in the Picture, and Our Bodies Our Voice. <\/p>  <\/div>\n\n  <div>\n      <\/div>\n<\/a>\n      <\/div>\n\n    \n      <div class=\"c-post-grid__entry o-layout__item u-1\/1 u-1\/3@tablet\">\n\n        \n  <a href=\"#\" class=\"o-block u-link u-link--block\">\n\n  <div class=\"o-block__img o-ratio o-ratio--4:3 o-media o-media--cover\">\n    <img decoding=\"async\" \n      data-      src=\"https:\/\/justiceandpeace.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/IMG_8226-scaled.jpg\" class=\"u-link--block__image o-ratio__content o-media__img\"\n    >\n  <\/div>\n\n  <div class=\"o-block__body\">\n    <h4 class=\"o-block__title\">Utrecht Youth Network x Samen Hier x Move 4 Human Rights<\/h4>\n    <p>Within this edition, Utrecht youth, with and without a refugee background, are paired together as a group. This gives them the opportunity to get to know each other, form a welcoming environment, and work towards an inclusive and connected society. Together, Utrecht Youth Network and Justice &#038; Peace provide guidance and give the youth the opportunity to learn more about current migration policies in the Netherlands. <\/p>  <\/div>\n\n  <div>\n      <\/div>\n<\/a>\n      <\/div>\n\n    \n      <div class=\"c-post-grid__entry o-layout__item u-1\/1 u-1\/3@tablet\">\n\n        \n  <a href=\"#\" class=\"o-block u-link u-link--block\">\n\n  <div class=\"o-block__img o-ratio o-ratio--4:3 o-media o-media--cover\">\n    <img decoding=\"async\" \n      data-      src=\"https:\/\/justiceandpeace.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/IMG_0195-scaled.jpeg\" class=\"u-link--block__image o-ratio__content o-media__img\"\n    >\n  <\/div>\n\n  <div class=\"o-block__body\">\n    <h4 class=\"o-block__title\">NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences<\/h4>\n    <p>As part of Move 4 Human Rights, during the minor in Cross-border Migration: Governance and Security, students worked to contribute to the expansion of the Samen Hier initiative, which focuses on creating a welcoming society for people with refugee backgrounds. During the course, they gained a better understanding of the Dutch asylum policy and sought creative ways to convince local stakeholders and potential participants of the value of Samen Hier. <\/p>  <\/div>\n\n  <div>\n      <\/div>\n<\/a>\n      <\/div>\n\n    \n    <\/div>\n\n  \n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"o-wrapper u-padding-top content alignwide alignfull\" id=\"content-block_e4e9d8bfc7748e8f794572f6dfb48ccc\">\n  <div class=\"o-layout\">\n    <div class=\"o-layout__item o-content u-1\/1 u-2\/3@tablet\">\n\n      <div >\n        \n        <blockquote><p>Move 4 Human Rights programmes inspire young people to take the initiative themselves and discover their potential as changemakers.
